Comfortable & Easy to Use:Thoughtfully designed with insulated side handles, the brass saucepan stays cool to the touch, making it easy and safe to carry, whether you're moving it from stove to table or pouring your favorite sauce or chai

Naturally Non-Stick: Tin-coated brass provides a naturally non-stick surface, reducing the need for excess oil or fat. This not only promotes healthier cooking but also makes cleanup easier.

Efficient Heat Distribution: Brass is an excellent conductor of heat, ensuring quick and even distribution across the surface. This reduces gas or energy consumption and minimizes the risk of unevenly cooked food.

Nutrient Retention: Cooking in brass helps retain the natural nutrients in food, preserving essential vitamins and minerals that are often lost in other cookware materials.

Tin Coating for Durability and Safety: The inner tin coating prevents reactions with acidic ingredients, increasing durability and enhancing the pan’s non-stick qualities. This makes the saucepan suitable for a wide range of recipes, from tea to tomato-based sauces.

Non-Toxic and Chemical-Free: Unlike non-stick cookware with synthetic coatings, brass is a naturally non-toxic metal. It does not leach harmful substances into food, making it a safer choice for daily use.

Elegant and Timeless Design: The handcrafted hammered finish and contrasting silver interior give this saucepan a classic, sophisticated appearance. It transitions beautifully from stove to table, adding a cultural and aesthetic touch to your kitchen.

Our Brass Kadhai is your go-to for deep-frying, sautéing

1. Why is the Brass Roti Tawa not tin-coated?
Making chappatis and other flatbreads on our Brass Tawa is entirely safe without any tin coating.

2. Will the products tarnish?
Yes, Purity has its way of being visible. As pure silver turns black over time, pure brass also tarnishes.

3. What if the Ghee turns Green in the Brass Ghee Pot?
If the ghee comes in contact with salt, the ghee might turn green. Even if a salty spoon comes in contact with ghee, the ghee will slowly turn green. It is best to get rid of that ghee, clean the pot with clean water, and pour in a fresh batch of ghee.

4. Is the Brass Kadhai Non-Stick?
Yes, the tin coating inside the kadhai makes them non-stick and easy to cook.

5. Is cooking all types of food in the Brass Kadhai safe?
Yes, it is safe to cook all kinds of dishes in our Brass Kadhai due to the tin coating (Kalai) on the insides of the product. However, you may not require Kalai for deep frying since fats do not react with brass.

6. When should one get the tin recoated on the cookware?
Over time, the tin lining may begin to fade with regular use—this is completely natural and expected. With proper care, such as cooking on medium heat, avoiding dry heating, and using soft tools, the coating can last up to 120 cooking sessions or even longer.

To make the re-tinning process simple and accessible, we’ve created aDIY Kalai Kitso you can easily restore your cookware at home—wherever you are in the world.

7. What is the best way to clean Brass and Copper utensils?
You can use regular dishwashing liquid to clean both the inside and outside of your cookware. To maintain its shine, we recommend using the P-TAL CleaningSolution  once in a while. This solution is 100% non-toxic, safe for your skin, and specially designed to keep your cookware looking beautiful for years.

8. Should I cook food on a high flame?
Since brass and copper are good conductors of heat, cook food on a medium to low flame. This would also help you to save gas. They are an intelligent step towards sustainability

  • Brass cookware is known for its excellent heat conductivity, which helps cook your food evenly. For optimal performance and to save energy, always cook on medium to low heat. This also helps reduce gas consumption, making it an eco-friendly choice
  • To keep your tin coating intact and your cookware looking great, always cook with a little oil or fat. Cooking on high heat without oil can damage the coating and shorten its lifespan. So, for the best results, remember to add a touch of oil to protect the surface

P-TAL utensils can be cleaned just like your other utensils. For bringing back the shine, follow the steps mentioned below:

01

Wash the utensil with only water to begin with.

02

Apply some Pitambari powder and scrub on all parts of the wet vessel.

03

If you don’t have Pitambari, use a mixture of 1 bowl of wheat flour (atta), 1 spoon of salt and 2-3 spoons of vinegar.

04

Rinse off the Pitambari or your home-made paste with water and wipe off any excess moisture.
